If I could do it all over again: I would play more.
If I were a superheroine, I would be: Wonder Woman.
The smartest woman I know: My mother.
The most important thing I ever lost: My grandparents, James and Gertrude.
The worst idea I’ve ever had: My girlfriends and I decided to get Jheri curls in the 10th grade. I had a bad hair day every day for six months.
Words I live by: If you look at what you do not have in life, you don’t have anything. If you look at what you have in life, you have everything.
One thing I never want to do again: Go back to high school. I was the tallest and skinniest person at myschool.
The food I could eat every day: Ice cream.
If I could be totally wild, I would: Move to Las Vegas and be a Rockette.
The nickname I wish I had: Cutie Pie.
If I had a vanity plate on my car, it would say: “Blessed.”
My work: At BRIDGES, a nonprofit that provides hands-on ways for adults and youth to fight racism and poverty, I get to meet and talk with people on a daily basis who are passionate about our city and
its future.
My passions: My family and good food.
My favorite possession: My PJ’s. I love to lounge and read.
The best thing I ever won: The school spelling bee in the 6th grade. I got a trophy and everything. I had to spell “rogue.”
